The year 2008 marked the fifth anniversary of Wuhan City Circle, and the first anniversary
of the experimental area of comprehensive reform for building a resource-saving and
environment-friendly society. Compared with the Yangtze River Delta City Circle, Pearl
River Delta City Circle and Bohai Rim City Circle, Wuhan City Circle has more prominent
central cities, more flexible regional economy, higher administrative matching, and more
notable trickle-down effect. In the past, Wuhan City Circle was a significant industrial
base in the central region; now, it is a premier technology hub and economic growth pole
in Central China. In the future, under the guidance of overall planning, regional economic
collaboration and new-type industrialization road, it will experience healthier, faster
and more stable growth.
