In the first three quarters of 2008, 136 land investment projects was disclosed in china, down by 20.47% compared to the same period of 2007; of which 121 projects had a real investment, down by 11.03% over the same period of 2007; the investment value totaled at CNY 38.123 billion, down by 22.5% compared to the same period of 2007.

Considering the regional land investment, East China and North China was still the top two regions, their overall investment value proportion was 40.55% and 30.92% respectively. During 2008Q1-Q3, 14 projects of the top 20 were happened in the two regions. Whereas the investment value of Central China and Northwest Region declined by 80.8% and 68% respectively.

In the first three quarters of 2008, the top five land investment projects were as follows:

Shenzhen Heungkong Holding Co., Ltd Won the land (use right) bid of Tianjin Dongbin NO. 2007-180 with a cost of CNY2.891 billion;
COFCO Property (Group) Co., Ltd Won the land (use right) bid of a Village in Beijing Shunyi District with a cost of CNY2.594 billion;
Binjiang Real Estate Group Co., Ltd Purchased the Land Use Right of different lands with a total cost of CNY2.459 billion;
Tianjin Reality Development (Group) Co., Ltd purchased the land of NO. 2008-062 in Tianjin Dongli District with a cost of CHN2.124 billion.
China Commodities City Group Co., Ltd Won the Land (Use Right) bid of one land in Yiwu City with a cost of CNY2.08 billion.
