Report Highlights
The year 2008 was doomed to be an exceptional year. China's aviation industry underwent across-the-board integration. AVIC-1 and AVIC-2 were merged into the new China Aviation Industry Group Corporation, and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. was founded, which signified that a new era started in China's aviation industry. 2008 was a year full of changes and hopes for the industry. New goals, new requirements and new development direction were established. However, there is a significant contradiction between the huge demand brought about by rapid economic development and outdated general aviation. 2008 was also a year worth reflection. These problems were exposed in the rescue efforts in the snow disaster that struck China's southern region and Wenchuan Earthquake which took place in May, giving a warning to China's aviation industry.
Despite remarkable progress, China's aviation industry still lags behind. Large-scale civil aircraft, international subcontracting and rotor aircraft are future development direction. Countries all take the aviation industry as a key field for future development. Therefore, China's aviation industry faces fierce international competition.
In the face of competitions as well as market changes and challenges, the 2008-2009 Annual Report on the Development of China's Aerospace Industry released by us will help vendors, industry insiders and investors grasp more accurately laws governing the market's development and comb the development track of application value.
