Report Highlights
In 2007, China's hydropower industry continued to grow steadily. This is both
the requirement of China's economic growth and the logical trend of
environmental protection. The State encourages the development of renewable
energy. The coming into operation of the Three Gorges Hydropower Plant and the
development and utilization of water resources in three provinces in Western
China have injected a great vitality into the development of hydropower
generation industry. For a period of time in the future, the industry will
continue to maintain a fast growth momentum.
In terms of scale, small- and medium-scale hydropower plants have their
advantages. Small investment, low risks, stable returns and low operating cost
all provide a broad space for small- and medium-scale hydropower plants to grow.
More and more private enterprises have successively invested in the small- and
medium-scale hydropower plant field. On the other hand, with their high power
output and high energy efficiency plus preferential State policy support,
large-scale hydropower plants are still the main force of hydropower generation.
In the face of competitions as well as market changes and challenges, the
2007-2008 Annual Report on the Development of China's Hydropower Industry
released by our team will help enterprises, investors and industry persons to
more accurately grasp the growth pattern of China's hydropower industry, see
through industry trends and make active preparation for possible changes:
More comprehensive and in-depth analysis of brand competitions. With an eye on
the greater global environment, our team presents an overview of the current
development status and basic characteristics of hydropower generation in the
world and surveys major countries/regions. With research focus on the current
status and basic characteristics of hydropower generation in China, our team
provides more detailed research data on key provinces and municipalities.
More scientific and comprehensive analysis of industry growth. From the
perspective of industry chain, our team fully examines the structure and
evolutionary trend of China's hydropower generation industry chain. It also
performs in-depth analysis of the competitive environment, pattern and future
competition posture of the various links of the industry chain.
More scientific and comprehensive forecast for future growth. Provide forecast
for the size and growth of China's hydropower generation industry, and put
forward analytical conclusions of our team on industry trend.
