    开利在法国里昂开办了一所名为“开利大学”的培训中心，里昂大学捐赠了培
训设施，开利负责提供机械设备。该培训中心计划每年招收75名里昂大学的学生，
并由开利公司提供相关的培训课程。

    该中心负责人在开幕仪式上说，开利设立这所培训中心，对企业在欧洲、中东
及非洲地区的发展极为有利，它在帮助提高工程师服务质量的同时，也能让学生做
好进入空调行业的心理准备。

Carrier Inaugurates its Training Centre for Europe

Carrier has launched a "Carrier University", at Lyon, near its French 
factory, for training in its Europe, Middle East and Africa region. 
This is a project undertaken in collaboration with a number of public
bodies in France, namely the Ain Regional Council, the Bourg en Bresse 
and Lyon Universities and the Communal conglomeration.

Lyon University donated the training facility, while Carrier supplied 
the equipment. Carrier has committed to provide training courses for 
75 Lyon University students each year at Carrier University, as well 
as fulfilling its own training needs across the region.

David Appel, President, Carrier Building Systems and Services, EMEA 
explained: "'Carrier University' hosts a full schedule of training 
programmes. Courses range from two to five days, and three week 
programmes.

During the inauguration ceremony, David Appel declared, "Carrier has 
established a reputation as the manufacturer that trained the industry.
 
The establishment of this new centre for the EMEA region will play an 
important role in enhancing that well-earned reputation. 'Carrier 
University', as we like to call it, will train existing Carrier 
employees, improving the quality of service, while also training 
students to prepare themselves for entering air conditioning 
professions."
